Tell us a little about yourself
I live on LA where is often considered as symbol of busy and modern. Living life with blooming finance and city structure is very nice for accountant like me, my husband Jack and I have been here for 8 years, we have two little angles—— Debbie and Ally, we usually get to spend weekend playing in park or baking at home or traveling around the big city. My life is full of love and energetic in our little family, I hope no more than be healthy and happy together.
How long have you been wearing wigs or hairpieces?
Almost 4 months I think. From the very beginning, I didn’t realize I am going to alopecia since my hair is routine falling each day caused by working pressure, but one day in January I was braiding hair for Debbie and she said:”Mom, why your temple is bald？”，it shocked me a lot and I took a mirror to see, it was obvious two coin sized patches just above my two ears. After driving kids to school, I came to my doctor Jessica, she checked with bringing that heartbreaking info——I got alopecia, and then I lost 70% of my hair within 2 months.
Actually I was very upset and I was afraid of going out with my family, I just locked myself in home at weekend and refused to show up in front of friends. And I really want to thank Jack who saved my life from these terrible days and brought LilyHair to me.
It was our wedding anniversary in 25th May, we were supposed to go have dinner evening, but I insisted to stay at home and didn’t want to take our anniversary photo as usual. Then Jack brought a wig from LilyHair, I was so surprised and I tried out immediately, it turned out so perfect as I wish.
What advice would you give to a new alternative hair wearer?
Always calm down and tell yourself it is fine! It was really overwhelming at the start of my hair loss experience, but more than shedding itself, girls should search for coping mechanisms. I suggest that you could talk to your friends and find some suitable treatments, talk to people related to hair loss-I am fortunate to find many inspiring stories on Instagram and Youtube, have learned many inspiring stories and obtain power from ladies who suffer from hair loss but still stay beauty. Remember one thing important: If you reach out, there is a lot of support there!
